Who wouldn’t like a part of their post-secondary studies paid? We are excited to share with you the thrilling news that le Collège Communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB) has partnered with l’Association des collèges et université de la francophonie Canadienne (ACUFC) to offer 10 lucky students admitted at the CCNB in September 2020 a bursary worth $3,000!

Here are a few of the eligibility criteria:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada;
  • Have English as the first official language spoken;
  • Have completed their secondary school studies in an English-language institution and graduated from this institution;
  • Demonstrate that they have sufficient knowledge of French to be able to study in that language. A transcript, attesting to having taken courses in French at the secondary school or college or university level in Canada for a minimum of two years, will be required;

The new Bursaries for Post-Secondary Studies in French as a Second Language Program encourages young, English-speaking Canadians to enhance their bilingualism while studying in a field of interest. A total of 850 non-renewable bursaries, each worth $3,000, will be awarded yearly from 2020 to 2023. Applications are to be submitted directly to one of the participating colleges and universities.
